Pelham sits at the very bottom of New Hampshire. Its southern border is the Massachusetts line, and a marker called the Old Boundary Pine stands at the state’s southernmost point. The town was once part of Old Dunstable and was split off when the colonial border was settled in the 1740s, then incorporated in 1746 and named for the Duke of Newcastle. Beaver Brook drains almost the entire town and flows south through Dracut into Lowell, where it meets the Merrimack, so Pelham and Lowell share more than a road.

Homes on larger lots

Pelham is a residential town with a rural feel. Most homes are single-family houses set on generous lots, many on cul-de-sacs and winding roads, with woods between them. Around Long Pond, Little Island Pond and the smaller ponds you find homes right on the water and others with deeded access to it. The town also has age-restricted communities with condos and smaller homes.

A larger house means more floors, more bathrooms and more windows to look after, and a long driveway brings in its share of grit and leaves. Pond houses deal with sand, damp and summer traffic. Condos in the over-55 communities tend to need a lighter but regular touch. Samira will ask about the home and how it is used, then suggest the type of clean that fits.

Getting to Pelham from Lowell

Route 38 is the direct line. It leaves Lowell, runs north through Dracut and becomes Bridge Street in Pelham, the town’s commercial strip, before carrying on into Salem. Route 128 follows Mammoth Road along the western side toward Hudson and Windham, and Route 111A runs as Marsh Road and Windham Road up toward Windham.

Samira cleans from Pelham Center, with its Congregational church and library, out to North Pelham, the neighborhoods near Muldoon Park, the roads up toward Jeremy Hill and Gage Hill, and the homes along the Methuen and Salem lines.

Just one person to talk to

There is no booking desk between you and the cleaner. You send Samira a message, she asks what she needs to know, and she gives you the price. If anything about the visit changes, you sort it out with her directly. Portuguese speakers can write to her in Portuguese.

Where to go next

Bigger Pelham homes often do well with steady house cleaning, and a move-out cleaning helps when a house goes on the market. Close by, Samira also covers Hudson, Windham and Salem in New Hampshire, and Dracut and Methuen just south of the line. Every town is on the service areas page.

Pelham FAQ

Good questions.

Anything else? Just text Samira at (978) 441-8693.

Is Pelham part of your service area even though it is in New Hampshire?

Yes. Pelham borders Dracut, and Route 38 runs from Lowell through Dracut into Pelham, so it is one of the closest NH towns to Samira's home.

Do you clean pond houses on Long Pond and Little Island Pond?

Yes. Waterfront and near-water homes are included, whether you live there year round or open the house for summer.

Do you clean in the 55-plus communities in town?

Yes. Condos and homes in age-restricted communities get the same care.

How far into Pelham do you go?

All the way through: Pelham Center, North Pelham, the Mammoth Road side near Hudson and Windham, and the neighborhoods along the Methuen and Salem borders.

What should I send to get a price?

A text with your road, the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, and the kind of clean you want. A photo of the busiest room helps. Samira will answer with a price you can say yes or no to.
